Kassandra Carlson

Kassandra Carlson is a quilt maker and emerging surface pattern designer based on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. With a lifelong creative foundation in sewing and quilting, her practice has evolved to include long-arm quilting and fabric design. Her work reflects a love of colour, botanical form and thoughtful composition, with a focus on creating designs that are both expressive and practical for makers. Kassandra has been recognised as a finalist in both the Australian Machine Quilting Festival and the Australian Quilt Show, strengthening her connection to the quilting community and industry.
Her move into fabric design grew from a desire to create quilts using her own patterns and textiles, following earlier work in her handmade business where she explored custom-printed fabrics as part of an environmental fundraising initiative. Her collections are grounded in storytelling and a strong sense of place, often inspired by the Australian landscape and personal connection.
