Born at the end of the baby boom era, Carol Moellers thought it would be fun to bring back some of the wonderful futuristic shapes of that time period, but add a little 21st century twist. Carol has been fascinated with the colours, geometric designs, organic shapes, clean lines, and patterns of the 1950’s and 60’s. The Mid-Century Modern style is all about simplicity. The designs in this collection were inspired by simple strokes using a chisel point marker, doodles and scribbles with a felt-tip pen, and macramé knotting patterns. She wanted to provide cheerful pops of pink, yellow, lime green, lavender, dusty blue, peach, turquoise, and orange with muted, earthy greys to add visual interest and variety to the collection. Mid-Century Modern is all about bringing the past back into the 21st century for all quilters to create with and enjoy.
